SO MANY of my clients - regardless of gender - apologising to me because I “have to look at” their bodies. Fat, skinny, colostomy bags, hairy bits, sparrow ankles, stretch marks, cellulite, big boobs, little boobs, scars, inverted nipples. Young male clients asking how their tattoos will look “when they finally gain weight”. Young female clients asking the same for when they “finally lose weight”. All bodies are good bodies. You don’t have to apologise just for being there. It’s a privilege when someone trusts me to tattoo them.
These merms don’t go half the way to showing all the different body types I get to work with (and not least cos so far they’re all young and female) but I wanted to start diverging a bit from my “default” body type in drawing merms. It was a fun start.
